Un collage d'inspiration

Since last weeks chaos I've escaped into drawing again, my all time remedy and salvation. I came across old inspiration pics from Japan, red coates, melting figures, white strawberry mice and 15th century back in fashion with additional bunny hats.

That's all I want to do really, draw disturbing animals and make all my characters red-eyed.
Also as I'm losing my japanse, the long lost french seems to be coming back, and I practice talking to the cat.

In the Shaddow of the Northern Lights.

15 minuter!!!

Ps. Ovanstående är menat som ironi. Ironi, alltså inte skrivet i fullt allvar. Ironi. Sa jag det?

Beautiful fairytale land

The view from someone elses apartment. Damn him.

Is this blog simply going to be a perverted and self indulgent orgy in the wonders of Japan and how much I miss it? Why certainly, so it appears.

But my visa is running out soon - I left long before my time had come - and I'm going through the motions. On D-day the 21st I will have a quiet moment, go get myself a bottle of the worst chinese imported sake I can find, go down to the pier and throw my passport into the water.
It will sail of to the shores of my fairytale land and one day be found by the highly devloped ancestors of current day japanese immigration police, and they will wonder why the visa is not finished. Indeed, so do I.

Only in Japan

...can one buy Alice in Wonderland cookies as omiyage/souvenir.

(taste as bland as the disney movie version, though)

Exhibition at the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo

My frame at the exhibition!

Anyone who happens to be in Tokyo – go to the Swedish embassy and check out the Galago exhibition! It’s until the 22nd of june and besides it’s a great exhibition my stamp and a few other of my works will be on display as demonstrated in the photo above.
I’m not really part of the comic artists working for Galago magazine, but organizers of the exhibiton in Japan liked me so much they wanted me to be part of it anyway. As to not offend the Galagao artists they supposedly picked out the deepest darkest corner for my pictures – I am very honoured.

Despite the darkness I love the artists of Galago and sometimes I want to draw like them too. One day I will try, but with bigger eyed characters.
