Mourning

I am back in Sweden again. It is so sad I can't really write about it, so I won't.

Too much free time...

…and one can make pok-pong dolls out of yourself and your friend. Then you can play with your dolls and make them engage in adultery.

It’s fun.

"Ljusets hunger" as entitled in Swedish, the last book in my series Stable of the Norhern Lights is now available in bookstores in, well, Sweden.
If anyone happes to live there, pick it up! It's really a great book and worthy ending.

Miyajima magical island

Only 1 moth left in Japan have to go everywhere see everything!! At least I had to go to Miyajima Island outside of Hiroshima, 11 excrutiating hours away by night bus. But worth the pain it was beautiful perfect floating shrines and torii in the water, scary red eyed horse statues and scarier dears eating everything from pamphlets to baby's clothes.

The island is also famous for its oysters and momiji - japanese maple leaf shaped sweets. Oishii. They're made in enormous old machines awfully similar to Howl's moving castle.

Model-san

Japan is a wonderful country with cities not unlike giant doll houses and easily available plum wine on each and every corner. It has though, some problems with its foreigner population, the racism here is "deep and profound"; recent UN report.

However - sometimes mentioned racism is quite reversed. As a foreigner one can, for example, be a model without any other physical requirements other than being not japanere. And many do! Cash in hand and a month later one is at a subway wall advertising 'Canadian Dry Ginger Ale' a la Lost in translation.

And one gets to wear a wig.
